The complete directory of US-listed securities, refreshed nightly: 13,155 active symbols across Nasdaq (all three tiers), NYSE, NYSE American, NYSE Arca, Cboe BZX and IEX — 5,656 ETFs included — from Nasdaq Trader''s official symbol directories with the SEC CIK crosswalk joined in (7,128 symbols resolve to their EDGAR filer, AAPL to CIK 0000320193 with a ready EDGAR link). Search by symbol or company name with exact-symbol-first ranking; filter by exchange or ETF flag; pull per-exchange listing counts. Delistings actually disappear: the nightly sync upserts the full directory and prunes symbols that vanished, behind a safety valve that refuses any prune touching more than 20% of the table. Test issues are excluded and Nasdaq financial-status codes (Deficient, Delinquent, Bankrupt) arrive decoded. The reference layer every fintech product needs before it can do anything else: symbol validation, autocomplete, ETF screening, CIK resolution for filings pipelines. Pairs with our Company Financials API (10-K numbers for any of these CIKs).
