Aircraft API

Aircraft type catalog built from official aviation data: 7,200+ ICAO Doc 8643 type designators (every aircraft type provided with air traffic service) — designator, manufacturer, model, description code, aircraft class (landplane, helicopter, amphibian, gyrocopter, tiltrotor), engine type and count, wake turbulence category and group — with 1,700+ types enriched by the FAA Aircraft Characteristics Database: approach speed, wingspan, length, tail height, maximum takeoff and landing weights, approach category, airplane and taxiway design groups, parking area, and US registration counts. Look up every variant behind an ICAO designator (e.g. B738), filter by manufacturer, aircraft class, engine type/count, wake category or minimum MTOW; aggregate manufacturers and engine types. Self-hosted dataset from ICAO and FAA publications, refreshed daily — no third-party calls.
