Live US airport delays, straight from FAA air traffic control. Real-time National Airspace System status parsed into clean JSON: airport closures (with start and reopen times), ground stops (departures to an airport held on the ground), ground delay programs (with average and maximum delay), general arrival/departure delays (min/max and whether the delay is increasing or decreasing), plus the airspace flow programs and CTOPs that explain en-route holding. Ask for the whole national picture with per-category counts, just the list of currently affected airports, or one airport by code — FAA/IATA 3-letter or ICAO K-prefixed (KLAX works) — and a quiet airport answers with an explicit "normal" status rather than an empty object. Responses are edge-cached for 2 minutes, so you get near-real-time data at API speed without hammering the FAA. The delay layer for flight trackers, travel apps, airport pickup timing, ops dashboards and "should I leave for the airport yet" features — pairs with our Airports, Airlines and Aircraft APIs. US airports only (FAA coverage).
